Q. How do I login to Westlaw?
You should always access Westlaw from the Library pages as these links take you to our specific login page where you enter your University username (upxxxxxx) and password.
If you cannot get access, it is most likely that you need to clear your cache and cookies (instructions for different browsers). You could also try accessing in a private or incognito window.

Alternative login screen
Sometimes, you might create a link in Westlaw, or use a link from an email, that takes you to a different login screen. If you see the below screen instead, please scroll down and:
1) Click on Access through academic institution
2) Select University of Portsmouth and then
3) Login with your University details as usual

Non-retrievable links
If you see this screen below, where the academic institution login is missing, you cannot login from this link and retrieve your content. This happens if you create links in Westlaw international – please ensure that you save or download this content instead.
